ShubhPilot (“we,” “us,” “our”) is an AI-powered Vedic astrology and Vastu consulting application developed by Bellarivia Labs (United States). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the ShubhPilot mobile application and associated services.

By using ShubhPilot, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the application.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data to provide our astrology and Vastu consulting services:

2.1 Authentication Data

• Phone number — Required for account creation and authentication via OTP (Firebase Phone Auth).

2.2 Profile Information (Optional)

• Name — User-provided, optional.
• Email address — User-provided, optional.
• Language preference — English or Hindi.

2.3 Birth Chart Data (Required for Service)

• Date of birth
• Time of birth
• Place of birth — Manually entered text, not geolocation.

2.4 Consultation Data

• Chat messages — Your questions and AI-generated responses.

2.5 Transaction Data

• Credit/subscription records — Records of purchases made through Google Play Billing.

2.6 Device Information

• Standard app telemetry — Device model, OS version, and app version collected via Expo.

2.7 Optional User-Provided Data

• Family member birth details — For family chart analysis, provided voluntarily by the user.
• Property details for Vastu analysis — Direction, room layout, and similar information provided by the user.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

ShubhPilot does not collect the following:

• Location data (GPS) — Birth place is manually entered text, not geolocation data.
• Contacts — We do not access your device contacts.
• Photos or media — We do not request camera or gallery access.
• Financial information — All payments are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see your credit card or bank details.
• Biometric data — We do not collect fingerprints, facial data, or any biometric information.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• Authentication — To verify your identity and manage your account.
• Generating birth charts — To calculate your Vedic Kundli based on your birth details.
• AI consultations — Your questions and birth chart data are processed through our AI providers to generate personalized astrological guidance.
• Account management — To manage credits, subscriptions, and referrals.
• Service improvement — To improve our AI models and service quality through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
• Support — To respond to your inquiries and support requests.

5. Third-Party Services

ShubhPilot integrates with the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — Phone authentication only. Firebase processes your phone number for OTP verification. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google Play Billing — Processes all payments for credit packs and subscriptions. We receive confirmation of transactions but do not access payment method details. Google Privacy Policy
• Anthropic API — Your consultation messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI response generation. Anthropic processes the text of your questions and relevant birth chart context to generate responses. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• OpenAI API (Fallback) — Used as a fallback AI provider with the same data scope as Anthropic. OpenAI Privacy Policy

We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs. All analytics are logged in-house using our own PostgreSQL event logging system.

6. Data Storage & Security

• Database — PostgreSQL database, encrypted at rest, hosted on AWS RDS.
• Server location — Deployed in the Mumbai region (ap-south-1) to serve India-based users with low latency.
• Encryption — All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest (AES-256).
• Data retention — Account data is retained until you request deletion.
• Chat history — Retained for your access and review. You may request deletion at any time.
• Access controls — Database access is restricted to authorized engineering personnel only.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — You can view your birth chart data, consultation history, and profile within the app at any time.
• Data export — You may request an export of your personal data by emailing us.
• Deletion — You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. See our Data Deletion page for the process and timeline.
• Correction — You can update your profile information within the app. For corrections to birth data, contact support.
• Withdraw consent — You may stop using the service and request data deletion at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

ShubhPilot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@shubhpilot.com.

9. International Users & GDPR

If you are accessing ShubhPilot from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws:

• You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
• You may request a portable copy of your data in machine-readable format.
• You may object to or restrict processing of your personal data.
• You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
• Your data is processed in accordance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

For users in India, data is processed in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules thereunder.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email (if you have provided one). The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.

Your continued use of ShubhPilot after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
